JULE AND THE GREAT SUNFLOWER PROJECT Recent studies have shown that Bees are declining in certain wild and many agricultural landscapes. However, little is known about urban Bees. Recent data on bumble bees in an urban setting suggests that urban bees may also be declining. The loss of these pollinators is important along with understanding what effect the losses have had on the pollinating duties that bees provide.

COLLABORATIONS: JULE RECORDS "LILIES" Jule was commissioned by Scott Cartegena (pro drummer and founding member of the band Mantra) to sing on his upcoming solo LP. Jule recently recorded Scott's track titled "Lilies" at Octopod Media studios located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Click the link to check out Scott on Myspace ! Jule was commissioned to portray an undercover detective in an upcoming indie film from writer/director Buzz Cartier called "Filthy Rich Filthy Uncle Phil". The scene was shot in May the glorious Garden State. This is was a fun and special experience, cos Jule finally gets to act in a scene with long time best friend Scott Schiaffo. Check back for updates about this hilarious indie film.

JULE LANDS ROLE IN TWENTY FOUR - SEVEN Jule was cast as one of three characters in Twenty four - seven. This indie short film produced by Faith House Productions, is set to shoot in early 2008, Jule will be playing Flo, a local tavern owner in this poignant story of friendship and overcoming life's tribulations. Directed by Michael P. Russin, Jule is quite excited to be cast along with Scott Schiaffo of the movie Clerks and Mark Odlum of Psychic Improv. Check back as details of this project unfold !

JULE'S PARENTS establish College Scholarships Former residents of West New York, New Jersey, and graduates of Memorial High School, Alan and Doris Werner [Jule's parents] continue to have fond memories of that time in their lives. They
sprung forth from Memorial High School onto college and ultimately careers as a
Certified Public Accountant, and a Legal Administrative Assistant, respectively. Their belief in the Arts and Humanities led them to establish these grants for qualified students graduating from Memorial High School.
SCREENING OF FILTHY RICH FILTHY UNCLE PHIL It's official! The indie film Filthy Rich Filthy Uncle Phil (Jule plays an undercover detective) will debut at 3:00 p.m. on April 5, 2008 at the New York Ukulele Fest 2008 at The Theater for the New City. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Theater for The New City (TNC) is a 4-theater, 40,000-square foot cultural center in the heart of New York City’s exciting East Village.
TNC offers multiple stages, lobbies, lounges, vendor space and a special room for uke jamming.

It's true! Jule's dog Lucky has a scene in Mo and Doyle Idiots are Us. He was a scene stealer...and a big ham...Jule and the director tried to give him motivation...but, like Jule...he may not listen! lol -- "Do it for yourself, Luck..." but, he said he'd rather do it for a big bowl of kibble, some treats, and a sirloin steak...well, sans the kibble, Jule has been known to say the same thing! Lucky appears in a scene with a group of dog worshipping denizens...but as you will discover...Lucky has the last laugh.....Jule is so proud of the work he did in the film!!
