Jule' New Stuff
Bruce Von Stiers
Jule Carey is an actress, both on screen and voice-over. She is also a pretty decent singer. Jule has released a self produced rock album titled Little Did I Think. That was a little while back. Now Jule has a whole new album full of pretty decent songs. This CD, when it came my way, had a label listing it as Jule Carey 2005.
Wonderin' is the first track. It has some cool synth and guitar supporting Jule's great vocals. It is a subtle tune about a person wondering about the obscurities in life.
Hold The Light is a faster paced tune with Jule singing in a silky, yet husky voice.
Another Girl is a foot tapping rock tune.
Love, Love & Laughter has great guitar. Jule speaks in the first part of the song. I didn't really care for the singing part of this song. It seemed that the singing was a little strained.
Soul of Gold has a Country flavor to it. Lucky Ones is a soft and gentle ballad. I'm Free is a different piece with freaky music and faded and echoing vocals from Jule.
Live For Today has some hot guitar backing Jule rocking out. There are two versions of the song Joey on the album One is a Country version, the other Rock. The song is styled a little like Bad Company's Shooting Star.
The last song on the album, Let It Go, also has two versions. One is an electric version and the other is acoustic. The electric version definitely rocks out and the acoustic has even better music.
Jule Carey is a very talented lady. She acts in horror flicks, does radio commercials for NY area establishments and is even an on-the-air personality for an online extreme rock program. Being a good rock n roll singer is just another facet of who Jule Carey is.
